Responsabilités
- EXD/CSI/CSD is looking for a Head of Conferencing Management who will be responsible of the strategic development, organisation, execution and operational management of conferences, meetings and events at the Organisation’s conference center facilities

- ensure the delivery of high-quality conference services in the two conference centers of the Organisation and effective guidance and support to more than 130,000 participants per year

- in close consultation with the Head of Protocol, plan and implement logistical arrangements for visits by heads of state and other international dignitaries
- ensure the Office of the Secretary-General is kept well informed of initiatives and developments
- recruit, supervise, motivate and contribute to the professional development and performance management of a diverse staff to ensure the timely high-quality and cost-effective delivery outputs through effective working methods, a positive working environment and good communication
- oversee the Division’s budget and ensure optimal utilization of available resources
- contribute to the strategicdevelopment of a billing framework to ensure cost recovery while allowingclients to decide on their specific requirements
- oversee and provide guidance onthe development and implementation of the Organisation’s environmentalstrategy
- support the OECD agenda with partner countries
- S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Head of the Conferences and Security Division
- underthe direction of the Steering Committee, the Head of the MAPS Secretariat shallbe responsible for representation and advocacy work together withrepresentatives of the Steering Committee, MAPS Partners and MAPS Network asappropriate
- ensure the general management of greening and health & safetyactivities and provide guidance to internal and external experts in thesedomains
- manage the budget of the Unit and co-ordinate procurement, in line with the Organisation’s rules and procedures

- the MAPS Initiative is a common effort by countries,bilateral development agencies, multilateral development banks, officialdevelopment assistance donors and other intergovernmental organisations whohave jointly revised the original MAPS in 2018 to improve public procurementglobally
- monitor the overall effectivenessof environmental initiatives and recommend adjustments as required
- coordinate the preparation and deployment of all related logistical arrangements
- ensure that good environmentaland societal practices in operational activities are duly considered andpromoted across the Organisation

- with other Directorates and services, foster the development of new initiatives to inform reform processes and strengthen co-operation with partner economies, particularly within the framework of the OECD Latin America and the Carribbean Regional Programme, jointly managed with OECD Development Centre
- lead the development of new initiatives in line with the strategic objectives of the Secretary-General
- ensure effective communicationon the Unit’s activity through liaison with all staff across the Organisationand Delegations and co-ordinate relevant working groups on specific activitiesincluding the catering and cleaning commissions
- administratively, the Head of Secretariat will report to the Director forPublic Governance at the OECD and any other senior manager as per the GOV organisationalstructure

- represent the OECD at international meetings and participate in OECD-wide events and meetings of OECD bodies

- communication and Liaison
- contributeactively to discussions on public procurement policies, strategies and trendsin the context of the MAPS Initiative
- contribute to the strategic development of a billing framework aiming at ensuring full cost recovery while allowing clients to decide for their specific requirements
- in close cooperation with meeting organisers and senior managers, other EXD services and external suppliers, determine the most appropriate room arrangements, decorations and support for complex corporate events, including OECD Week
- promoteexcellence and talent development among the team through continuous learningand improvement, effective and diversity-aware recruitment, performancemanagement and professional development of staff
- develop new forms of co-operation together with relevant Directorates and services in order to expand the relations with partner countries
Exigences
- an advanced University degree in business administration, communication or equivalent professional experience.Professional Background
- an advanced university degree in economics, political science, business administration, finance or equivalent
- ideal Candidate Profile

- at least ten years’ experience in fields related to OECD policy

- developrelations with senior public procurement policymakers in nationaladministrations, the private sector and other international organisations, toshare experiences, identify areas of mutual interest for co-operation and toexchange views on public procurement
